Turley Zinfandels in the Spotlight

Today we’re selling three incredible Zinfandels from one of the top Zin producers in the world- Turley Wine Cellars. Turley makes forty-seven wines in all, most of which are single-vineyard Zinfandels, sourced from as far north as Napa and as far south as Paso Robles. Founded by Larry Turley in 1993, Turley Wine Cellars was the result of an unfulfilled niche in the premium Zinfandel market. By focusing on old vine vineyards, Turley aims to both create, and preserve California’s unique winemaking culture.

There is no question, Turley Zinfandels are among the highest rated, immediately sought after, and best in class when it comes to quality and individuality. We are very excited to offer three recent releases from Turley in our stores, especially considering most of their wines are limited to restaurant and their exclusive wine clubs, which there is currently a waitlist for. Don't miss your chance to pick up one of these epic wines while they're available and on sale!

2015 Turley, Cedarman Zinfandel- Howell Mountain, California
On Sale $44.99, Reg. $59.99

"Cedarman is a proprietary blend of fruit from both Rattlesnake Ridge and Dragon Vineyards, located at the top of Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. Although primarily Zinfandel, we use a small amount of Petite Syrah from the Rattlesnake vineyard as well. The result is a truly powerful, dense and wild wine, long on flavor." Winemaker Notes

2015 Turley, Pesenti Vineyard Zinfandel- Paso Robles, California- 92pts, Wine Spectator
On Sale $49.99, Reg. $54.99

"This certified organic estate-owned vineyard was planted in the 1920’s on primarily limestone soil. Though the vines are head-trained and dry-farmed, the soil plays the most important role in distinguishing this vineyard on the west side of Paso Robles. The wines have a brightness, with chalk and floral aromas unique to the site, and to Zinfandel in general." Winemaker Notes

"Structure meets zesty fruit in this vivid red, which has black cherry, grilled anise and white pepper flavors that take on speed toward minerally tannins. Drink now through 2026. 2,400 cases made." 92 points, Wine Spectator, March 2018
